Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in the city of Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and Alison Kruss were the two youngest Grammy Award winners. Alison Maria Krauss, born 23rd July 1971, is an American artist and performer. She began her career in the industry in the early years, competing in local contests before the age of 10 and recording for the first time at the age of 14. After signing to Rounder Records, her first album came out in 1987. The band invited her to join the band whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station as well as releasing her debut album with them as a group in 1989.
